When the phone is unlocked - buttons are shown.
When the phone is locked - sliders are shown.

Hi, in call log (for one contact) I see only outgoing (my) calls, not incoming - I would love to have an option to see ALL calls between me and contact. The same in SMS log (for one contact) I can see only sent messages, not received. Did I overlook something in the settings? I am really considering...

that is strange. Without DWC I have to answer the phone with slider (left->right), or reject (right->left).

With DWC installed there are only 2 touch buttons "Accept" and "Decline".

Sadly, buttons are much likely to be pressed accidentally.
