Cannot do anything with Favorites

I'm using DW on an Honor 7 (PLK-L01, EMUI 3.1, Android version: 5.0.2).
I open DW, tap on the star to get to Favorites. If I tap on any of the names here, I receive this message: "No applications available to view this contact."
DW is set to be the default dial sw on the phone.
It's interesting that the widget set to show my Starred contacts works fine - no matter what I set (call default phone, or just show contacts details) it WORKS. The same does not work from the app inside.
