Create an Appointment / Linked Contacts

Post by jazzylm »

When I create an appointment with the longtouch and I have a contact that's linked, all the data fields are transferred to the calendar. Is there a way to get this to copy only data that isn't a duplicate?

So my Google Account data may have a Home Phone as 800-555-1212 and my T-Mobile Backup Account has a Home Phone as 800-555-1212.

When the appointment is created, I get this

Home Phone800-555-1212
Home Phone800-555-1212

Thanks

sorry, not sure, if i know, what you like ...
is it a merged contact ?
it will copy all your phone numbers and add it to notes in appointment.
if you have 2 numbers there it will copy all of them.
i don't think, it is a problem of DWC, if there is a double number, then remove the double number in contact -or maybe i haven't understand you ..
to check, if there are dobule informations and then only add the correct number ...well, how can i be sure, that it is the same number ?
maybe you use: 0800-123456 and in other field you use: +43800-123456 - then it should be also check that this is almost the same ?

next case:
if you have a number:
Home: 12345678
Office: 12345678
what should be happen then ? is it diferent - which one should be used then ?
i think, the real problem is, taht you have double contacts, which are having the same number ..and we do this on a simple way - we fetch the data, and then insert it to the appointment calendar API ...

or maybe i'm wrong ?
