Sort order bug V2.06?

Post by jonesy »

Sort order --> Lastname display unchanged sorted by Firstname

Also Quick-jump, when Sort order by Lastname, displays grid of letters 10 rows x 6 columns.

Quick-jump with Default or Firstname sort order displays grid 3 rows x 6 columns and 1 row x 2 columns.

pleasecan you add a screenshot ?
i have no idea, what the problem is or what you mean ..
if you can not sort or display .. check if you have saved the names in the correct field.
if you write the name: "John Carpenter" into only field "first name", then the app can't sort it ...please check with a business app: "contact editor" or "contact editor Pro"
quick-jump only show contacts first letter

All of my contacts have separate entry in first name and last name fields. I previously tried Android Market program "Better Contacts" which does sort by last name, but I like your program better, but would like to see Sort Order working for me sorting on last name.

three screen shots attached

NOW I AM HAPPY!!
Call this operator error- I just discovered settings --> display settings --> global settings --> alternate sort order. This fixed everything.

As I said before very nice program, well worth the price.

I do not think of it as "older" released in Jan 2011:
HTC EVO Shift
stock ROM
Android 2.2

2.3 is available for my device, if I upgrade then I won't need the alternate sort order enabled?
