Muddled index for searching contacts

Hello!
I have a problem with the DW contacts-app. I use it for a long time.

Since some month the index with letters (for searching contacts) is completely muddled (for example: ABHSTMWDEKCJVGFOUPRILNÄZ).Tapping a letter brings me never ever to the relating contact. What can I do?

Hello there
Please press the menu button in the upper right corner. Then select Sort order and try the options ending in alternate.
