Restore backup functinality in r3.3.3.4

I recently switched from a Samsung Ultra 23 to 24.
I wanted to restore the settings from DW Contacts from the old phone to the new phone.
I took a backup on the old phone and copied this to a directory on the new phone.
Whenever I try to restore the backup I get a message 'Please wait' but this message stays on the screen forever.
If I take a backup on the new phone and try to restore this backup I have exactly the same behavior.
I tried this on an older release (3.1.7.5) and there it works.

Hello,
This may be Android 14 related.
I have the problem on a Samsung S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra with android 14.
Now I could also test on a Samsung A51 with Android 13 and the same release of DW Contacts and on this device I do not have any problem.
