Hello,

It would be awesome, if ALL fields of a contact would be displayed in the contact details, AND when I start typing in the search box, all fields would be searched. Basically, just like in Google Contacts.

Thanks
David

hi david,
the "contact view detail" is your own stock contact viewer (DWC only call your internal "contact viewer")
if you go to tab "Search" , it will search in ALL fields
if you go to tab "Contacts" , it will only search in fields name, number, group, organization, titles
if you go to tab "Phone" , it will only search in in fields name, number (if set) and T9-search can be adjust how it should work on searching ..

SPECIAL HINT: if you press the hardware button "search" in DWC, then you will also get the "search" tab automatically. On most devices, there is no "search key", and then you can use "long press - menu button" :)

(out of my scope:)
in google search:
- it is very slow
- you cannot search for numbers

so, is this really a feature request ?
which feature do you like to see in a future version ?

Hey Camel,

That's exactly what I needed. :) I just thought that by searching in any of the tabs, it will automatically search in all the fields. So now I'll use the search tab for finding a contact based on information in their Note field.

Thanks
David
