Strange issue.
If I set my phone when searching to display only contacts with phone number (Phone Settings section), what this does is that it searches contacts within google contact and phone contacts (maybe more but those are the only ones I have). The problem is I have set the Account Data to only use contact in my phone so I'm not sure why it displays the google contacts also. this basically gives duplicate results.
If I set the phone to display all contacts (basically untick the box) then it does the correct thing buy just searching contacts in my phone. Any insight into this? Thanks

this is not a bug, this is wanted.
in DWC. there we have:
LAYER 1: ->see settings: "account data"
there you can define, which contact account types should be used.
LAYER 2: ->see settings: -> GLobal settings -> "Contact display filtering"
there you can define, which contacts should be displayed. this is the same filter as it is in your system (normally can be configured on your stock contact application)
BUT ! -> this LAYER " is only valid, if the layer 3 (see below) "Only contacts with phone number" is disabled !!!!
LAYER 3: can be set different on tab "Phone" and on tab "Contacts"
->see settings: -> Phone settings -> "Only contacts with phone number"
->see settings: -> detail view settings -> "Only contacts with phone number"
if - this is set, then the android's system filtering will be not used. and it show all contacts,which are having minimum 1 phone number.
extra hint: tab "Search" show all contacts (which are activated by LAYER 1), and can search in all fileds
(sure, that this woul be take more time to search, because it will search in every contact field !)

if i have time, i will make a FAQ or a manual or video ... but before we are trying to implemment the most important functions, and then we will do that.
