Is there a way to not display the icons of the contacts at the right (or left) of the list? This would save me some needed space on my phone's display.

I had managed to disable it in an earlier version but I can't seem to find this option in the current version (2.1.2) I downloaded today.

have you found how to disable the icons for contacts ?
there are several ways:
in almost every tab you can setup as you like:
example: if you want to disable the contact icons (pictures) on tab "contacts"
go to settings -> detailed view settings -> contact view settings -> show items -> disable/enable what you like

the same you can do for every tab view (ex: phone, favorites, etc..)
