Clear the cache?

Hi DWP,
I've noticed over the time that I've been using DWP that it often takes a long time for edits to contact numbers to appear in DWP.
For example, I just discovered an incorrect number in one of my contact listings. One digit had been typed wrongly. I went in and corrected it, but it still hasn't appeared in the DWP listing. It's still showing the wrong number, and if I try to dial the contact, it still wants to dial the wrong number. Yet the number is correct in the Android database, because if I View the contact, it shows correctly, and if I dial it from there, it will dial the correct number.
I know that closing and restarting DWP doesn't fix this, but shutting down the phone and restarting it will make it bring up the correct data. But I shouldn't need to do that for one simple edit!
I'm using Prompt before dialling, which allows me to better see what's going on. Another thing I've just noticed - the phone is still showing the wrong number for the Contact in question, but if I press the Dial icon for the contact, even though it tries to dial the wrong number, it now doesn't recognise the contact, and says "Unknown contacts" in the Dialler prompt box. Obviously, it's out of sync with the real data.
Is there some way to clear the DWP cache, or is this some other problem?
