Can't find the answer here.
I have the Android Atrix. My wife has the Atrix 2. Both have DWC version 2.1.4.
On my phone, when doing a search, when I type in text, DWC displays all contact names containing the letters I type. Just below the search bar is a "Search Anything" button that expands the search to Notes, etc.
On my wife's phone, when doing a search, when I type in text, DWC displays all contact names containing the letters I type. But she never gets the "Search Anything" button so she can search notes. One qualification - on infrequent occasions, when she type in a contact name it seems to automatically 'search anything.'
Is it possible to set up DWC to ALWAYS search anything?
How do I get the "Search Anything" button to appear on my wife's phone?

How about this?

On the "Good" phone, in DWC Settings | Backup & Restore, Backup all your settings.

Then copy the "Good" Backup file to the "Bad" phone (you may want to make a backup of that one first - name it something decisive).

Anyway, then Restore the "Good" settings file to the "Bad" phone. See if they are then the same.

Otherwise, I would say it's a function of the different Contacts on each phone.

The buttons appear only in the search results is empty.
If you need to search all the fields, you can use the Search button in the toolbox.
