process decription of call filtering
process decription of call filtering
Hi. Can you please describe, how a set of adresses is filtered by an "Allow" and a by a "Reject" filter? In which priority or sequence are the filters processed depending on "Allow"/"Reject" position in the list and the further rules set in the filters? Can you please give some examples? Usually I would RTFM, but there is none.
Re: process decription of call filtering
Hello
"Allow" a high priority. If a call is in line with an "allow" rules will not be blocked.
And regardless of the sorting of the list.

Re: process decription of call filtering
Hello,
how does a standalone "Allow" Rule work? Are those callers rejected, who are not in the rule?

Sorry, I do not understand.
Re: process decription of call filtering
OK, let's use a few examples. You have caller addresses 1, 2, 3 and 4. If there is not any filter, all callers are allowed to call You.
1. Action: Add Filter "Allow" addresses 2 and 3 => Result: All addresses are allower furtherway.
2. Action: Add Filter "Block" addresses 3 and 4 => Result: Addresses 1, 2 and 3 are allowed, caller 4 is blocked.
3. Action: Add Filter "Block" all addresses => Result: Addresses 2 and 3 are allowed, callers 1 and 4 blocked.
4. Action: Remove Filter "Allow" addresses 2 and 3 => Result: All addresses are blocked.
Are all results correct?
