Why does SMS show up as calls in history? I looks like I called somebody when I really sent an SMS.

This is because Samsung modify the API. I have not found the filter method. Check the system settings, and whether to display the switch?

The strange this is that in the phone app that came with the phone, the history still differs between SMS and calls. Volvo seems to have the same problem as you. When my car connects with bluetooth is shows the call-history including SMS just as you do.
