Contact list left side letters language

Hello!
I faced with following behavior. Application version 2.2.3 pro on Android 2.3.7. System language is English. Application language English too. Application T9-search language is Russian. Application T9-keyboard language Russian too. I expect to see Russian letters (and quick search by them) at the left of contact list tab using this preferences, but i see English letters (see screenshot). Is it possible to fix?
