I notice that adding a Birthday to a contact fails to write to the record.

Just the data is not saved?

Do you mean it doesn't add to your Calendar? I thought it didn't work either, but I think there is another step you need to take.

Can you add a Birthday to a Contact okay? Does it then show in the DWP Contact Viewer, when you swipe sideways (Left) to the (Right hand) end, or pick the "Calendar" icon (RH end) at the bottom of the Viewer?

How do you add the Event? Long Tap the Contact -> More -> Edit Event for contact ?

Then, (if you want) you need to add it the the Events list by Long Tapping on the Birthday, then choosing "Add event to calendar". (Maybe there are other ways to do it, but this works for me... If you find a better way, please let me know.)

Only one problem - when I add my own Birth date, it tells me my age using the Chinese convention - i.e. 1 year older than I am. I'm old enough already without an extra year! Apart from that, it seems to work for me...
