I have 2 coworkers with numbers (for example, not real): 1) Andrew +xxx335555555 2) Bob +xxx445555555.
When in history call from Bob - all OK, but if it's Andrew's call - program instantly change name to "Bob" with Andrew's number, and on tap opens Bob's contact info.
It seems like program matching number to contact entry with the last 7 digits of phone number. And assigns Name wich is the last in alphabetical sort.
After use stock Call-Program - for a moment, there is a proper name... but after - again Bob's contact with Andrew's number below.

Try in call log (with 1st and 2nd answered calls) go to edit 1st contact and add to him phone number similar to 2nd contact and you will see.

It works fine on my phone. This looks like a cell phone-related. DWC system API to complete a number comparison.
