I thought I used to do this just fine, but for the past month or so it isn't working. Maybe I forgot the steps. I want to be able to click something in the call log and then choose 'add new contact' or similar. right now I have to look at the call log, memorize the number, and enter the new contact separately. then it updates the call log to reflect the name.

Thank you like it. Sorry, a loss-of-function before you can do this by clicking the contact picture. I will restore it.
Now you need to press and hold the call records. And then in the pop-up menu select Add to Contact.
