DWP

I know Dw contacts can do a lot.
I like the dialer and the contacts as well.
But an incoming call seems to be handled by the android phone app.
Is this the way it should be or should DW contacts replace this one too.

For now it is ok since the default app allows to send call reject messages and I haven't found this option in dw contacts.
But if you select call filtering will dw contacts intercept incoming calls and when not rejecting them transfer the action to the default app ?

Just to know because I was wondering why dw contacts had no call reject messages

This can not be replaced because of system limitations.

Does this also apply to the application after starting a call? However I would like to see notes and company details of the contact also during the call. But this phone app is not managed by DWP, only the contacts view and editor?

Hi, some days later I use the In call widget today, it's useful.. So DWP is called DW Contacts & Phone but is not a Phone app, only a contacts app? And DWP will never replace the phone app, or are there any plans in this direction?

But what about the contact editor? Why does DWP still use the Stock editor when editing contacts? So is DWP a contacts viewer only? I could imagine a custom editor in the detailed way DWP already is could better fit than the Stock editor.

Deven, sorry didn't know where to post this. I can't pay my bills do to this issue. When I call the banks their system will give you options via "touch" on your dial pad. I can hear the "tone" via my BT and they sound the same. When touched number 0 to 9 nothing happens on their end, the message just goes on like I had not touched any. So I can't pay any bills, and to speak to a human please touch "0", need help please.

This DW does not matter, call interface is provided by the system.

I've seen I have already asked in 2014 but I haven't seen it appearing since then.
I'm still missing 'reject call with message'.
Is this already available in DW Contacts or will it be added in a future version.
I don't need it a lot but sometimes it would be handy to let the caller know why I cannot answer the call.

Does anybody if it already exists and if yes where to find it?
If isn't available will it become available in the (near) future ?

After installing DW Contacts on Lineageos 14.1 an old issue is back:
I can't get rid of the default phone app popping up. Whenever I type a number in DW and hit the call button, I get the default phone app with that number and need to press the call button there again. I already have DW contacts set as my default phone app. I tried disabling the phone app completely, but that breaks calls completely so pressing the DW call button does nothing anymore. How can I disable this issue of default call app popping up?

It's already there.

I was trying to find it but I didn't. Or do you mean option in incall widget for sending message? I meant sending one of preprepared template message (such as "I'm busy now I call you later" or "I'm in meeting") after rejecting call.

It is in the toolbox, call filter. Add a new rule, select the action.

Have you tried... Settings/Apps/All/Dialer/Clear Defaults
