Icon disappears after update

I have the problem that DW Contacts and Phone dialer icon disappears on every update. I have the DW dialer icon in the drawer where it replaces the normal dialer icon together with Firefox, Textsecure, A better camera on Cynogenmod. I have also had this problem on Samsung Galaxy S III stock firmware and Paranoid android. After an update, I have to copy a new dialer icon to the drawer because the old one has vanished. Since the dw is the only app that behaves as such, I would consider this a bug. Obviously it has something to do with the update mechanism d w contacts uses. Would be cool, if this would be improved.
