Homescreen shortcuts disappeared upon move to SD card

In order to free up space, I moved the app to my SD card (external storage). Unfortunately, all my homescreen group shortcuts are gone for important contacts where quick access is necessary 
How do I restore them? 
I NEED THEM BACK!
