I think this arises on the last version and not before.(I'm running on version 3.2.1.1)
In my address book I have family names in two parts (e.g. just like my name: De Booser).
On the 'select field to show' I have selected given name, family name, middle name.
The sort order in the overview of contacts is ok but the contact is shown as Booser, Piet De.
So the first part of the last name is taken as middle name but this is not always the case.
E.g.
De Booser LInda (last name is De Booser, given name is Linda)
De Booser Koen (last name is De Booser, given name is Koen)
De Booser Piet (last name is De Booser, given name is Piet)
shown as
Booser, Koen De
De Booser, Linda
Booser, Piet De
Is there a way to not split the last name in two parts?

Contact names are stored separately in the database. It is saved by the contact editor. The current contact editor is provided by the system. You can check whether the contact editor provided by the system supports manual setting of the contact name field.
