DWP on Oneplus Nord 2T

I have been using DWP for some years now and I am really happy with (thanks to the developer).
My wife also used it on her Samsung phone and she also was happy with it (I am also using it on a Samsung phone).
My wife recently switched to a OnePlus Nord 2T and now she sees the following behavior.
Whenever she gets a call when the screen is locked no problem the call shows as full screen.
But when she is using an app or when the notifications are in front then the incoming call shows up as a bubble (exactly the same as when the default Oneplus phone app is used) .
Can this be undone?

This is a system behavior to avoid interfering with other applications the user is using.
