Group SMS

Hi folks,

I have a contact group of around 40 contact numbers, if I long press the "group" and select "Send SMS/MMS" will it send as SMS or MMS ?
Im sending a plain text message only but I am aware that some apps I have used in the past automatically convert the SMS to MMS (very expensive mistake).
Can I be sure they are always send as SMS ?

Also why would (or should) I use the 'Limit the number of recipients' option to send the texts in batches ?

You should see this interface. It always uses SMS.

Be careful not to turn on this option
Settings - SMS & Email settings - Use default SMS program
